COOKIE POLICY

1. BACKGROUND

In accordance with Spanish regulations governing the use of cookies in relation to the provision of electronic communications services, as set out in Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, we inform you about the cookies used on the XCLUSIVE BESPOKE MALLORCA SL website and the purpose of their use.

2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to your computer when accessing certain web pages. Cookies allow a website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about a user’s browsing habits or their device and, depending on the information they contain and how the device is used, they can be used to recognize the user. Cookies are associated only with an anonymous user and their computer or device and do not provide references that allow access to personal data.

3. TYPES OF COOKIES

3.1.- According to the entity that manages them
a. First-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal device from a computer or domain managed by the website editor and from which the requested service is provided.
b. Third-party cookies: These are sent to the user’s terminal device from a computer or domain not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.

3.2.- According to their purpose
There are many purposes for using cookies. Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained through cookies is processed, some of the purposes may include:
a) Technical cookies: These allow the user to navigate through a website, platform, or application and use the different options or services available, including those used by the editor to manage and operate the website and enable its functions and services, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying sessions, accessing restricted areas, remembering the items in an order, completing purchase processes, managing payments, controlling fraud related to the service’s security, registering or participating in events, counting visits for software license billing, using security features during browsing, storing content for video or audio streaming, enabling dynamic content (e.g., text or image loading animation), or sharing content via social networks. Technical cookies are exempt from the obligations established in Article 22.2 of the LSSI when they enable the provision of a service requested by the user. However, if such cookies are also used for non-exempt purposes (e.g., behavioural advertising), they will be subject to these obligations.
b) Preference or personalization cookies: These allow information to be remembered so the user accesses the service with certain features that may differentiate their experience from other users, such as language, the number of results displayed in a search, the service’s appearance or content depending on the browser used, or the region from which the service is accessed. If the user personally chooses these features (e.g., selecting a website’s language by clicking on a flag icon), cookies will be exempt from Article 22.2 obligations, provided they are used exclusively for the selected purpose.
c) Analytics or measurement cookies: These allow the tracking and analysis of user behavior on the websites to which they are linked, including quantifying advertising impacts. The information obtained through these cookies is used to measure website, application, or platform activity to improve the service based on user usage data.
d) Behavioural advertising cookies: These store information about users’ browsing habits obtained through continuous observation, allowing a specific profile to be developed to display advertising accordingly.
3.3.- According to the length of time they remain activated
a) Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user is accessing a website. They are typically used to store information needed only once (e.g., a list of purchased products) and disappear when the session ends.
